Engr. Kwaghkper holds a B.Eng. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria having graduated in 1980. He is experienced in the field of Mechanical Engineering as evidenced in his work career. Engr. Kwaghkper started his work career as a workshop manager and was responsible for maintenance of plants and equipment in the Ministry of Works, Makurdi between 1981 to 1984. He then served as Divisional Engineer in-charge of Okpokwu Local Government of Benue State where he was in charge of maintenance of infrastructures from 1984 to 1987. He then served as the Senior Resident Engineer for the £56 million Taraku mills vegetable oil and feed factory in Taraku, Benue State. In 1991 he took appointment with Taraku Mills Limited as Assistant Production Manager and later became the Production Manager - Oil and Allied product company Limited in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. As a Principal Engineering Consultant with NYOL Engineering Services Limited in 1995, he handled numerous projects among which are the Gboko – Yandev water supply Project; Federal Secretariat project, Benin City, Edo State; Mechanical Engineering designs for Benue Cement Company Plc, Gboko plant and the machinery valuation for Taraku Mills Limited. He once served as a member of the National Commission for Colleges of Education 1995 – 2007. He is a COREN registered Engineer and also a member of various professional bodies.
